Downspout Installation in Boise, Idaho
Your gutters collect the water. Your downspouts are responsible for getting it away from your home. A gutter system with poorly placed or undersized downspouts isn't doing its job. No matter how well the gutters themselves are installed..
Downspout Services We Offer

New Downspout Installation
We install correctly sized downspouts (3×4-inch for most residential, 4×5-inch for larger homes and 6-inch gutter systems) at proper intervals to move water efficiently.

Downspout Repositioning
Existing downspouts that dump water near the foundation, toward a neighboring property, or onto a path can be relocated to a proper drainage point.

Downspout Extensions
Water needs to exit at least 4–6 feet from your foundation. We install rigid and flexible extensions that direct outflow to lawn areas, drainage channels, or dry wells.

Downspout Replacement
Downspouts that have pulled away, been knocked loose, or cracked get replaced rather than patched. New downspouts are cheaper in the long run than chasing a fix, and they come with warranty coverage you can trust.

Underground Drainage Connections
On properties where surface runoff is persistent, downspout water can be connected to underground drainage that channels runoff away from the house entirely.
How Many Downspouts Do I Need?
As a general guideline, one downspout is needed for every 30–40 linear feet of gutter.
Steeply pitched roofs
High water volume means tighter downspout spacing.
Long unbroken gutter runs
Very long runs need more outlets to maintain proper flow.
Multiple roof planes
When several planes drain to the same section, additional downspouts are needed.
Basement / crawlspace homes
Foundation protection is critical. Err on the side of more downspouts.
We assess downspout needs during every estimate visit and make specific recommendations for your property.
